Unionville Markham engagement photos | Ashley + Jay

“What a super cute couple” is what Laura and I said to each other after meeting Ashley and Jay for the first time last September. We couldn’t wait to get out and work with them. They had expressed they wanted a fun but romantic feel to their engagement photos. After discussing a few location ideas they decided an evening in Unionville Markham would be the perfect setting for their eSession. It was at the start of their shoot that I discovered Ashley’s LOVE of shoes. As her and Jay made their way to our meeting spot on Main street I caught a glimpse of the shoes she was rocking. I must admit, they may have gotten me a little too excited… lol! You can’t mistake the red soles of Christian Louboutin’s. Ashley and Jay quickly confirmed their super cute status with their playfulness throughout their engagement shoot. Here is a selection of images we captured for them.

(I also came to the realization during their eSession that I know way too much about womens footwear!)

La Maquette Restaurant Toronto wedding photos | Sara + JC

Finally, the long awaited full blog post for Sara & JC’s wedding from 2008. This is our second wedding being featured in our Throwback Thursday blog posts. As you may be aware, I definitely didn’t win any awards for keeping our previous blog current with postings. Our Throwback Thursday postings will feature engagement photos, family portrait sessions and weddings from previous years.

Sara and JC’s wedding ceremony and reception was held at La Maquette, a restaurant renowned for its romantic atmosphere and sumptuous culinary delights. It was a beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony on the restaurant patio which is situated alongside Sculpture Garden. Their guests were treated to delicious cuisine divinely paired with a selection of wine hand chosen by Sara. Enough from me… here is a selection of images from their wedding.

chantale - I really like that you’ve taken the viewer “behind the scene”. So many of the shots really capture the bustle and hype of the preparation – but that from a personal perspective. I also really like that you’ve given attention to so many different individuals throughout the shots. lovely.

Downtown Toronto & Rogers Centre engagement photos | Jennifer + Steve

Jennifer & Steve love sports! More specifically they are huge baseball fans and love cheering on our home team, the Toronto Blue Jays. It was extremely fitting when we found out that at one point they both were working for the sports franchise. With Jennifer still working at the Rogers Centre she was kindly granted access for a short period of time to shoot part of their engagement photos at the sports park. We started in and around their new condo in the city which is in its final stages of being completed. We then made our way to the ball park to finish off their shoot. Just in case you were wondering, the field and dugouts were in transition for the Argos, so the field level was unavailable. Here is a small selection of images we thought we would share.
